You'll Need:
- 2 glasses/300g white flour (plain/universally handy)
- 1.75 glasses/265g wholemeal flour (wholewheat, Note 1)
- 2 - 3 tbsp Additional Flour (either flour, for tidying)
- 1.5 tsp heating soft drink (bi-carb, Note 2)
- 1.5 tsp salt
- 2 glasses (500ml) buttermilk , ice chest cold (Note 3)
How to Make:
- Preheat broiler to 220C/430F (200C/390F fan).
- Line plate with heating paper.
- Whisk the two flours (not Additional Flour), heating soft drink and salt in a bowl.
- Include buttermilk, blend until it's too difficult to even think about stirring any longer.
- Sprinkle 2 tbsp Additional Flour onto work surface, rub out mixture, sprinkle with more flour.
- Delicately work close to multiple times, unite into a ball. (Note 4)
