Fixings :

  • 4 8 oz (225 gram) boneless ribeye steaks, 1-inch thick (or scotch filet, sirloin, rear end, strip or porterhouse steaks)
  • Salt and pepper, to season

Sauce :

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion (yellow, white or dark colored), cut
  • 2 substantial garlic cloves, minced
  • 7 ounces (200 grams) dark colored mushrooms cut
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted margarine
  • 3 tablespoons plain flour
  • 2 1/2 mugs meat juices or stock
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Guidelines :

  1. Pat steaks dry with paper towel. Season with salt and pepper to your taste.
  2. Warmth a gently oiled skillet or dish (or grill) on high warmth until simply starting to smoke. Cook steaks for 3 minutes each side or until cooked to your preferring. Rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Warmth remaining oil in the skillet. Include onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until onions are translucent, at that point include the garlic and cook for a further 30 seconds, or until fragrant.
  4. Include the cut mushrooms into the skillet and cook for 3 minutes until brilliant and starting to diminish.
  5. Lessen warmth to medium and dissolve spread in the skillet. Include flour and cook while mixing for 1 minute, enabling the flour to darker marginally.
  6. Gradually and bit by bit include the hamburger juices (or stock), while blending. Permit to stew for 4-5 minutes, or until thickened. Mix in the Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Include the steaks once again into the sauce in the skillet alongside the juices on the plate OR serve steaks with the onion mushroom sauce as an afterthought.
  8. Embellishment with slashed thyme, parsley or rosemary whenever wanted.

Thank you for coming to my blog and enjoyed to try to make this food at home, good luck...
